Day 1 : Planning
First, you have to plan it all. Using that
5W+1H (What, Why, Who, When, Where, How) methods and i recommend to write down SWOT analitic too. Maybe you can make a time table and planners so you'll be more organized. You need to think what would you sell, why you wanted to sell it, why people want to buy it, who's gonna be your market, when you'll start, where you sell it, and how you start it.
2. Day 2-3 : Make money for starting up a shop
There are a lot ways to make fast money.
But still its really good if youre already saving some money. But if you’re on
hurry now? don’t worry.
a.
Open your wardrobe : I bet that you have clothes
that’s still good but you never wear it because its not fits well, oversized,
or you just dont like its color, SELL IT! find a thrift shop, or you can make a
garage sale in front of your house. Want more easier way? you can sell it
online.
b.
Sell your photos : Its common things that people
nowadays had phone with camera on it. If you find your gallery is full of
pictures, SELL IT! you can sell it on iStockPhotos, Shutterstock, Dreamstime,
etc.
c.
Join up as a reseller or dropship of someone’s
product : You can add profit on things you sell. As dropshipper, you dont need
to stock those products on your house, you only need to reupload the product
picture, and when someone order, the supplier will send it to the customer
3. Day 4 : Find suppliers
After you got amount of money, its time to
find suppliers for your shop. If you craft or make the products by yourself
(handmade) you should compare the quality, price, and how easy you can get the
supply. If you choose to be reseller or dropshipper you should try to know who
is your supplier as well. Its important to keep your customer satisfied on your
products. If they’re satisfied by your products and service, they’ll tell their
friends and relatives about your shop and become your loyal customer.
4. Day 5 : Stock some products
If your products are handmade, you better
making some example for photoshot. Because when you decide to make an online
shop, it means that you sell pictures first to the customers. If you're reseller
or dropshipper, you should write down how many stock on your supplier, and ask
them to send your some good pictures of the products.
5. Day 6 : Make social media accounts, Promote!
You almost done! you got your products,
photos, and the next step is to make social media account. Its good if you can
make your shop exist on almost every social media. But make sure you can manage
them all. Its bad if you open your shop on twitter for example, but you lose
your sight on it and didn’t notice that someone order your product through it
because you’re too focus on Instagram. But on my experience, people nowadays
often online on Facebook and Instagram. But I recommend you to open on etsy.
After you make the shop, don’t forget to promote it to your friends and
relatives. If you still had few moneys, make ads on Facebook and Instagram. It
will boost your customers.
6. Day 7 : Manage it, plan for next promos and
sale.
Finally its been a week you build up an
online shop. Now you should manage it. Keep promoting and posting your
products. Make a promo on opening maybe? or plan to make a promo on holiday
event?
That’s all i can tell you for now, stay
tune for the next tips and stuffs! Good luck! ❤
